Worth knowing

Breakfast and brunch
In resort you'll find coffee and croissants if you like an early start, or somewhere to simply grab a coffee. But if you're after a full English or a bacon sandwich there's a spot for that too.
Cafes and bakeries
As in any French town you're never far from a bakery. Head to Place de Venosc, town centre for fantastic cakes, pastries or just a morning baguette.
Child friendly restaurants
Most, if not all of the restaurants in Les Deux Alpes are child friendly, especially if you let them know in advance. Evening meals are normally served from 19:00, and the restaurants are quieter at this time than later on.
French restaurants
Throughout the resort you'll easily find a French restaurant to suit both your taste buds and your budget, whether it's homemade Savoyarde specials in a cosy rustic bolthole, or a light airy modern gourmet experience with a wine list and dessert menu to die for.
Italian and pizza restaurants
With Les Deux Alpes seeing a lot of Italian visitors, you don’t have to look far to find a good pizza.
Many of the local French restaurants also do good pizza and pasta, and there are some good pizza takeaways.
Michelin starred restaurants
Les 2 Alpes has one Michelin starred restaurant, it's located opposite the bowling alley at the Venosc end of town, and is truly unique. Booking at the start of the week is essential - a nice change to the usual baguette and chips on the mountain.
Pubs and gastropubs
There are numerous bar-restaurants in town with large wooden tables and comfy alcoves that are ideal for families or group outings.
Seafood restaurants
You'll find fish choices on some of the specials board throughout town, and even a good moules-frites (mussels and chips) and beer deal.
Spanish and Mexican restaurants
A few bars and restaurants offer tapas served at the bar, Spanish style, and there's a Tex-Mex also.
Takeaway restaurants
There is a wide choice of takeaway joints, offering pizzas, burgers, chips etc, some that will deliver to your door.
Vegetarian restaurants
Most local restaurants will offer something for vegetarians but expect it to be cheese, cheese and more cheese! Cheese fondue, raclette, pizza and salads are all widely available but there might not be many other options. You will get a bigger choice of veggie friendly food in the more English restaurants.
