Marion Rolland Wins Gold At World Championships in Austria
Local Skier Takes Top Prize in Women's Downhill Event
Local skier Marion Rolland finished on top of the podium at this weekend's World Ski Championships in Austria. The 30 year old skier from Les 2 Alpes won gold in Sunday's Women's Downhill event adding to a successful week all round for the French national ski team.
The French National Ski team are currently sitting at the top of the medal table with one week of events still to go. In addition to Rolland's fantastic gold, the French have both a silver and bronze medal in their tally following Gauthier de Tessières 2nd place in the Men's Super G and David Poisson's 3rd place finish in the Men's Downhill.
Slovenia are in 2nd place overall with Germany, Norway and the USA tied for 3rd.
