Les Lumières de la Muzelle night race, Deux Alpes

Night time winter trail running race over four distances lit by headtorch

featured in Events calendar Updated

There are the 8km (new for 2025), 10km, 21km and 42km distances to partake in - running through the snowy trails of Les Deux Alpes in the dark. Don't forget your headtorch!

Previously named the Night Snow Trial, this event has been renamed Les Lumières de la Muzelle. All of the races start at sunset from La Troika at the top of the Vallée Blanche sector and finish at Place des Deux Alpes, descending via the ski trails towards the lights of the resort below.

The 8km and 10km courses are mostly downhill with very little ascent required, whilst the longer itineraries have some uphill effort built in. The 21km course has 750m ascent and 1,150m descent, and the 42km has 1,750m ascent and 2,150m descent. There will be refreshment stations along the course.

Your inscription fee includes the lift up to the starting line and a hot meal afterwards.

Kit requirements: head torch, hat, gloves, long tights, thermal jacket. Hiking, running, or ski poles are not permitted.
