Kumi Yama Freestyle Event - the Last One!
Ski & snowboard freestyle event with a Japanese twist
Kumi Yama - which means gang from the mountains in Japanese - is a unique event that launches the summer ski season in Les 2 Alpes. This summer is the last one.. ever!
To celebrate the event the snowpark will be decorated in a Japanese style and over the course of three days 2 Alpes will play host to 250 riders from all over the world - pros and amateurs, big guys and groms.
The event sees teams of three competing in the slopestyle discipline and there's also a comp for 9-14 year old riders and a photo contest for budding action sports photographers with great prizes including a trip to Japan!
One of the biggest freestyle ski and snowboard events of the summer, the competition is in two parts with an invitational half-pipe where pros go head-to-head for prize money in the super pipe on the glacier. The slopestyle is open to all and asks that teams of three hit the course together creating a unique and exciting spectacle. There's also a jib contest, parties and a photo comp!
